Everything homeowners ask us about panels, EV charging, generators, permits, and scheduling. Don't see your question? Call us at (928) 487-5224.
Do you pull permits for electrical work?+
Yes. Any work that requires a permit under Yavapai County or city code — panel upgrades, new circuits, service changes, generators, EV chargers — we pull the permit and coordinate the inspection. We don't cut corners on permitting.
How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?+
Common signs: breakers tripping often, lights dimming when large appliances run, a panel under 200 amps, or plans to add an EV charger, generator, hot tub, or addition. Federal Pacific, Zinsco, and Pushmatic panels should be replaced regardless of symptoms — they're a known fire risk.
What's the difference between Level 1, 2, and 3 EV chargers?+
Level 1 plugs into a regular 120V outlet (3–5 miles of range per hour). Level 2 runs on 240V and is what most homeowners install (20–35 miles per hour). Level 3 (DC fast charging) requires commercial three-phase power and is not installed at homes.
What size generator do I need?+
It depends on what you want to run during an outage. We do a load calculation based on your AC, well pump, refrigerator, office, and any medical equipment. Whole-home standby units typically range from 18 to 26 kW.
Whole-house fan vs. AC — which should I get?+
They solve different problems. A whole-house fan pulls cool evening air through the home and vents hot attic air — very effective on Arizona's cool nights and a fraction of the running cost of AC. It doesn't replace your AC for 110°F afternoons, but it can dramatically cut your cooling bill in the shoulder seasons.
How much does a ceiling fan installation cost?+
If there's already a fan-rated box and switch in place, it's a straightforward swap. If we need to add a box, run wiring, or add a switch, it takes longer. We give a firm written quote after a quick look at the location.
How soon can you get to my job?+
Most quotes are scheduled within 1–2 business days, and most jobs are scheduled within the same week. After-hours emergencies (evenings and weekends) get a same-day callback.
What areas do you serve?+
Prescott Valley, Prescott, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Sedona, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, and surrounding parts of Yavapai County.
Do you warranty your work?+
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and we install only parts and panels backed by the manufacturer's warranty.
How do I pay?+
We accept check, cash, and major credit cards. For larger jobs (panel upgrades, generators, full rewires) we typically take a deposit and bill the balance on completion.
